Rites of passage are an important part of life whether we are members of a religious community, consider ourselves "spiritual but not religious," or are completely secular. In ritual, our joys are multiplied and sorrows divided when loved ones gather to celebrate our greatest happiness or alleviate our deepest pain.  While the site is primarily devoted to weddings, it is my honor and pleasure to assist you with child dedications or memorial services - any ritual for which you feel a professional would be helpful and appropriate.

Registration now open for the March 2012 group marriage education class.

My mission is to preside at the most beautiful and memorable service crafted to celebrate your unique relationship.

Rev. Ann Fuller

Community Minister,  UUCB

The couple getting married aren't the only ones walking on air. I absolutely adore officiating weddings and all types of commitment ceremonies. The affirmation that love prevails makes me giddy. Your guests will never know that though. I save the idiotic grinning for my drive home.

I have experience performing a wide range of weddings from civil services to religious ceremonies. I've been blessed with over eighteen years of marriage to a wonderful husband and am thrilled to witness other couples beginning their journey through life.

Unlike the old Hollywood adage, I am more than happy to work with small children and animals. I better be, I have three of my own. Small children that is, not animals. Though some days I wonder.

I believe each couple should have a celebrant dedicated to providing a quality service tailored to their personalities and desires. This is truly a high point of my ministry. It's not only uplifting, it is great fun, and such an honor! I really enjoy being able to alleviate the stress of the day and guide everyone through a memorable and meaningful ceremony whether it is a simple home service, intimate beach affair or an elaborate social event.

What you probably really want to know is how much an officiant costs. My own wedding was begged, borrowed, and...no I don't believe anything was actually stolen, so I absolutely sympathize being on a budget. My fees are explained here.

Ceremonies can be customized to: include children, blend religious rituals, honor your cultural heritage, use self-written vows, utilize a theme and more. Any commitment ceremony is an opportunity to proclaim a foundation of love as a beginning point for building a home and a life together. Personalizing the service enables the focus to be on the couple and their vows, rather than on any particular doctrine. I can help form a clear message by developing a ceremony which engages the participants and guests.

Did you know your officiant can do more for you than simply pronounce you husband and wife? Besides crafting and officiating the ceremony: I pin on a mean boutonniere, can leap beach railings in a single bound to retrieve a lost sand ceremony vase, supply a personal sound system for venues lacking microphones and once even "glued" a bridesmaid into her strapless gown. I have helped couples locate a place to hold their wedding, improvised successfully when unexpected changes needed to be made at the last moment, and loaned (very briefly!) one of my rings to a groom whose ring had not been delivered by the jeweler yet. What can I do for you?
