Rites of passage are an important part of life whether we are members of a religious community, consider ourselves "spiritual but not religious," or are completely secular. In ritual, our joys are multiplied and sorrows divided when loved ones gather to celebrate our greatest happiness or alleviate our deepest pain.  While the site is primarily devoted to weddings, it is my honor and pleasure to assist you with child dedications or memorial services - any ritual for which you feel a professional would be helpful and appropriate.

Registration now open for the March 2012 group marriage education class.

If you see a Red thumbtack with the words "Contract Pending" on the calendar, the date and time may still be available. If you see such a conflict, I will be happy to contact the couple to see if they intend to confirm their booking.

March 2009

With approximately 63 miles of coastline, Brevard County beaches are popular wedding venues whether you are a native, a Florida resident or live further afield and want a destination wedding. Beach weddings are very romantic and quite lovely. However, they do come with inherent challenges the couple need to know in order to make an informed choice. It can be as easy and simple as the couple meeting their officiant on the beach or as elaborate as the couple can possibly imagine. The pages listed on the left include a wide range of information about beach weddings in Brevard County, Florida.

I really do encourage you to read the first two pages carefully if you are considering a beach wedding in Brevard County.

Brevard Beach Locations contains information regarding selecting the most appropriate place to hold your wedding. It includes general information about our beaches as well as links to appropriate municipal and county park and recreation departments.

At The Beach contains helpful information for optimizing everyone's enjoyment of your wedding. It covers such topics as our weather throughout the year, timing your ceremony, decorating tips and things to know about our wildlife.

Beach Ceremonies includes three sample wedding ceremonies suitable for a beach setting. These weddings also provide examples of a variety of rituals and elements that can be incorporated into any wedding.

I am also pleased to offer a private wedding package with a beach option for couples who want more than a courthouse wedding, but prefer to keep things small, simple and with minimal decision making.

Important Note: I no longer have the strength of constitution to perform a wedding ceremony directly on the beach between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from June 1 through August 31. There really is nothing romantic about sweltering heat and direct sunlight. You and your guests will be thoroughly miserable and the photographs will be awful. Not from this area? You'll just have to trust me. As delightful as it may sound, the reality is dreadful. Try sunrise or sunset....or December. If you're dead set on the date and time, please consider a shady pavilion along one of the boardwalks.

Please feel free to contact me at any time with additional questions regarding beach weddings in Brevard County.
