Check
Calendar for Possible Availability
If you see a
Red thumbtack with the words "Contract Pending" on the calendar, the date
and time may still be available. If you see such a conflict, I will
be happy to contact the couple to see if they intend to confirm
their booking.

Choosing a place to
hold your wedding and/or reception can be a daunting task, but
usually one of the first steps in planning your event. Below are
quite a few ideas regarding locations in Brevard County, Florida.
For additional ideas beyond Brevard
County's borders, I list other Central Florida venues where I have officiated weddings on
this page. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or
concerns you may have whether you are interested in my services as a minister or
not.
Best
Wishes,

Howard Futch
Park
Indialantic, FL |
The Brevard County
Parks
and Recreation Department maintains a wide variety of public facilities
available for ceremonial use. Whether you dream of a wedding on the beach,
prefer a commitment ceremony at a park pavilion or would like a vow renewal
during a family reunion at a campground, there is a park in Brevard County for
you. Weekend pavilion reservations go fast, so I encourage you to contact
the Parks and Recreation Department sooner rather than later. For more
information about beach weddings, please visit the
Beach Weddings section of my website.
In addition to Brevard County, the cities and
towns within the county also have very nice civic facilities available for
rent. Visit the Leisure
Services page of the Melbourne city website for information on such venues
as the Front
Street Civic Center. The city of Satellite Beach has a lovely venue, the
Pelican
Beach Clubhouse, for small to medium sized weddings.
Cocoa is home to the adorable Derby Street
chapel, charming
Porcher House and sizable Cocoa Civic Center.
I have listed the most popular public banquet
facilities below, but you are sure to find more by visiting your local
municipality's website and browsing their leisure or parks and
recreation section.

Hotels, Country clubs, Restaurants,
Banquet Halls
Many of Brevard's hotels, country clubs,
restaurants, etc. are available for weddings and may provide wedding consultants
and/or facility coordinators. I have experience officiating weddings at many
different locations and would be more than happy to
provide my honest appraisal of facilities and services. Some
facilities are better suited to certain wedding styles and sizes than others.
I confess to the most familiarity with
centrally located venues in Brevard County. I am less familiar with potential sites
in the far northern and southern extremes of this long and narrow county, but I
am never adverse to a little research. Please understand this is far
from a complete list and I welcome recommendations for additional venues.

The Tides Collocated Club
Patrick Air Force Base |
The grounds of the
Rossetter House in Eau
Gallie are quite nice for garden weddings and can accommodate up to 100 people
without a permit from the city.
The
Yellow Dog
Cafe in Malabar has a lovely back deck along the river for
hosting a gorgeous wedding right at your reception site. The food
and service are impeccable.
The
Crowne Plaza,
Hilton, and
Doubletree hotels on the beach in Melbourne have
beautiful beach front wedding facilities and excellent event staff
to ensure as stress-free a day as possible.
Military personnel and their friends and
family have access to The Tides Collocated Club at Patrick Air Force Base. They have a lovely deck
overlooking the beach that will accommodate small to large weddings and several
banquet rooms of varying sizes. In fact I have seen them successfully
accommodate two separate wedding parties at the same time. Their catering
manager is a delight and they have alternate space in case of inclement weather.
Keep in mind that some facilities, such
as The Tides and the Eau Gallie Yacht Club, require sponsorship
by a member of the club. This may very well be the case with other country clubs
but I do not know specifics from personal experience. Wherever you have your wedding it will
be absolutely beautiful and uniquely your own. Have fun!
