Rites of passage are an important part of life whether we are members of a religious community, consider ourselves "spiritual but not religious," or are completely secular. In ritual, our joys are multiplied and sorrows divided when loved ones gather to celebrate our greatest happiness or alleviate our deepest pain.  While the site is primarily devoted to weddings, it is my honor and pleasure to assist you with child dedications or memorial services - any ritual for which you feel a professional would be helpful and appropriate.

Registration now open for the March 2012 group marriage education class.

 Check Calendar for Possible Availability

If you see a Red thumbtack with the words "Contract Pending" on the calendar, the date and time may still be available. If you see such a conflict, I will be happy to contact the couple to see if they intend to confirm their booking.

My favorite items:

  • chapstick

  • scotch tape

  • safety pins

A checklist of things a bride might want to have on hand on her wedding day. What you might need will depend upon how elaborate your wedding is. I notice duct tape on the list and quite frankly that puzzles me. I have yet to attend or officiate a wedding that required the use of duct tape, even with a fair number of nervous grooms on hand. Scotch tape and masking tape on the other hand come in quite handy.

Many of these items are multi-purpose and some useful things don't even appear. I have used hairspray to "glue" a bridesmaid's bosoms into her dress and snapped an eraser off the end of a pencil to use as the back of an earring.

Use this page as a guide, print it if you'd like and check off items as you assemble your kit. Better yet, delegate to your maid/matron of honor. You've got enough things on your mind.
