Rites of passage are an important part of human life whether we are members of a religious community, consider ourselves "spiritual but not religious," or are completely secular. Our loved ones gather with us to celebrate our greatest happiness or alleviate our deepest pain. Our joys are multiplied and our sorrows divided in a communal context in which ritual, whether religious or secular, is involved. This site is primarily devoted to weddings, but it is my pleasure and an honor to assist you with commitment and vow renewal ceremonies, child dedications and baptisms, or memorial services and funerals - any ritual for which you feel a professional celebrant would be most appropriate.

 Check Calendar for Possible Availability

If you see a Red thumbtack with the words "Contract Pending" on the calendar, the date and time may still be available. If you see such a conflict, I will be happy to contact the couple to see if they intend to confirm their booking.

I am first and foremost a wedding officiant and not a wedding planner. However, I have been approached by a number of couples who wanted an extremely small reception for a limited number of guests immediately following their wedding ceremony, I decided I could accommodate that particular need. So I create and officiate a beautiful and meaningful ceremony and happily function as the MC for a lovely little half-hour reception with the basic traditions of the cake cutting and toasting the couple. More than that is beyond my capabilities. My Intimate Wedding Package is perfect for "simple, but elegant" and "small, but romantic." If you have more than ten guests or want a decorated arch and tiki torches, send me an email at brevardminister@cfl.rr.com and I will give you the contact information for at least two or three awesome companies that will knock themselves out providing you with the package wedding of your dreams.

What is an Intimate Wedding Package?

It is a meaningful wedding ceremony followed by a short, but lovely reception that includes background music, a cake cutting and toast to the bride and groom. If you prefer a romantic experience rather than simply appearing before the clerk of the court, but do not want an elaborate affair--an Intimate Wedding Package at Rotary Park in Suntree on the river, Pelican Beach Park or Hightower Beach Park in Satellite Beach or at my home in Melbourne might suit your needs.

Package Includes (for up to 10 guests):

Ceremony

  • Wedding Officiant

  • Unity Candle (indoors only), Sand Ceremony, Wine Ceremony or Knot Ceremony

  • Keepsake Marriage Certificate

  • Personalized ceremony created to honor your unique relationship

Reception

  • Music

  • Wedding Cake: Ceremonial Cutting of the Cake with Sterling Silver

  • Formal Toast: Champagne and/or Non-alcoholic Cider

  • Table decor including plates, cutlery, and napkins. (every attempt is made to accommodate color preferences)

Ceremony & Reception

  • White Silk Bridal Bouquet and Boutonniere for use during the ceremony and reception

  • Photography (amateur, but perfectly competent. I can also refer you to reasonably priced and delightful professional photographers if you prefer)

Stephen and Brandy Mammay cut the cake at their

reception in Satellite Beach on August 1, 2009.

Are there any keepsakes we take home with us?

Absolutely!

The bridal couple takes home:

* Keepsake Marriage Certificate

* Printed Copy of Complete Wedding Ceremony

* Sand Ceremony Vase, Unity Candle or Knot Ceremony Cords

* A CD of .jpg files mailed within a week, my photographer can take pictures using your camera so you have immediate access to your photos, or a combination of both.

* Any leftover cake and beverage

* One or two other little surprises

How much does an Intimate Wedding Package cost?

The exact package cost depends upon your unique circumstances. I realize not all couples will want exactly the same wedding, the number of guests will vary and some items in the package may not be applicable. For example, one couple arranged for fresh flowers on their own and another hired a professional photographer. I am also willing to entertain other reasonable requests that are within my ability to provide. I included both a guitarist and bubble favors for one couple. The following prices are considered fairly typical for budgetary purposes. I recommend a consultation meeting to determine your exact needs and expectations. All package costs are determined up front at the time of contract so there are never any budgetary surprises.5

Fuller Residence Monday through Thursday $225-350
Rotary Park Suntree Monday through Thursday $275-400
Satellite Beach Monday through Thursday $325-450
Fuller Residence Friday through Sunday $325-450
Rotary Park Suntree Friday through Sunday $375-500
Satellite Beach Friday through Sunday $425-550

Fee considerations are available, but may not apply on holidays. Some holidays may incur the weekend rate.
