 This collection of ring exchanges is by no means exhaustive.
You may prefer to come up with words of your own, edit something below, or
blend two or more of
the ring exchanges. Some couples like to say the
same thing while other couples choose different words for each partner. I have
had several couple independently select words to say during the ring exchange
as a surprise to one another. You can say something off the top of your head
that simply rolls off your tongue. You needn't say anything at all.
There really are no rules when it comes to exchanging your rings.
1. This first ring exchange on the list is probably the most
familiar and popular.
Traditional: In token and pledge of the vow between us made, with this ring I
thee wed.
Contemporary: As a constant reminder of the
vows we have made today, with this ring I marry you.
Blend: As a token of the pledge made between
us, with this ring I marry you.
