This collection of ring exchanges is by no means exhaustive. You may prefer to come up with words of your own. Some couples like to say the same thing while other couples choose different words for each partner. I have had several couple  independently select words to say during the ring exchange as a surprise to one another.

1. In token and pledge of the vow between us made, with this ring I thee wed.

2. With this ring I thee wed. Wear it as a symbol of our love and commitment.

3. May this ring always be to you the symbol of my abiding love.

4. In token and pledge of our constant faith and enduring love, with this ring I marry you.

5. I give you this ring to wear upon your hand as a symbol of our unity.

6. I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you. I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken today, our wedding day.

7. This ring I place on your finger is a symbol of the undying love that exists between us. The substance of which it is composed is a symbol of purity, which shall ever characterize my mind and heart in our relationship as husband and wife.

8. Your ring marks the beginning of our long journey together. Wear it proudly, for it publicly displays the love that I have for you.

9. I give to you this precious circle. Symbol of the sun and the earth and the universe, of wholeness, perfection, peace and love. Accept this as a token and constant reminder of the vows we have pledged today.

10. This ring is a token of my love. I marry you with this ring, with all that I have and all that I am.

11. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I choose you to be my (wife / husband / spouse) this day and forevermore.

12. This ring I give to you as a token of my love and devotion to you. I pledge to you all that I am and all that I will ever be as your (husband / wife / spouse). With this ring, I gladly marry you and join my life to yours.

13. With this ring, I thee wed, and with it, I bestow upon thee all the treasures of my mind, heart, and hands.

14. (Name), I give you this ring as a symbol of my love. As it encircles your finger, may it remind you always that you are surrounded by my enduring love.

15. Because this ring has no end or beginning, it signifies the continuation of true love. As I place it on your finger, I give you all that I am and ever hope to be.

16. Let this ring be a symbol of my promises to you and a reminder of my devotion to you. I am honored to call you my (wife/husband).

17. I, __________, give to you __________, this ring, as a symbol of my commitment to love, honor, and respect you.

18. I give this ring in remembrance of this hour, a symbol of love that is complete, beautiful, and endless.

19. I give you this ring as a symbol of my love, my faith in our strength together, and my covenant to learn and grow with you.

20.  for musicians:

I present the gift of this ring
as a sign of our vows and enduring love
with our music I celebrate with you;
with all my soul I cherish you.
and with this ring I wed you.

21. Book of Common Prayer

__________, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you, in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit (or in the Name of God).
